A DIFFERENT KIND OF CONNECTION
It starts with
a real-life hello.
No public people search. No collecting strangers.
Just a simple way to find each other again.
Cross paths.
Meet a fellow traveller in the real world. A quick conversation. A shared adventure. A connection worth keeping.
Make it a connection.
Share a short-lived QR code. Both of you choose to connect. No app yet? The link opens registration in the browser.
Find each other again.
Keep up with their places and current contact details. Say hello on WhatsApp or another app you already use.
YOUR PEOPLE, NOT THE WHOLE INTERNET
Different places.
Familiar faces.
Heading somewhere new? See who you already know there, who calls it home, and who is on their way.

EVERYWHERE. RESILIENT. BETTER TOGETHER.
A little unexpected.
A lot like us.
We turn up in unexpected places. We travel light, adapt fast, and somehow find our people. That's the Cucarachas spirit. A name with a wink. A community with a purpose.
Not tourists. Cucarachas.GOOD QUESTIONS
Before you
pack your bags.
Can anyone search for my profile?
The planned community has no public people search. You connect through an in-person QR encounter and mutual agreement. Search is limited to your existing connections.
What if the person I meet doesn't have the app?
They can scan your code with their phone camera. The link opens a mobile registration page in their browser. They won't need to install anything before getting started.
Will it work on iPhone and Android?
The first release is planned as a mobile web app. Use it in your browser or add it to your home screen with its own icon. On iPhone, use Safari's Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, use the browser's install or Add to Home Screen option. The app isn't available yet.
Is this another chat app?
No. Cucarachas will help you keep current contact details and open contact options such as WhatsApp. Version one won't include in-app chat or events.
Can I sign up already?
Not yet. This is our first website and product preview. Account registration, QR connections and the member app are still being built. We aren't collecting email addresses on this page.
